Manchester Wellbeing Fund set to close

Published 13/04/2023

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) has been exploring options for the future of the Manchester Wellbeing Fund and we are sorry to confirm that it will not be renewed. A review has indicated that, in addition to a grant budget, significant investment would be needed for staffing and infrastructure to maximise the Fund's potential. GMMH is not able to source the level of funding required to provide a long-term, sustainable commitment.

We understand that there will be disappointment about this decision. While the Fund was only intended to operate for three years, we were hopeful of finding a way to continue. We have been proud to offer over 700 grants worth almost £1.4 million and we are immensely grateful to the groups that have delivered such fantastic projects and supported mental health and wellbeing in communities across Manchester.

Details of other funding opportunities can be found at manchestercommunitycentral.org, the website of Macc (the infrastructure support organisation for the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in the city of Manchester)
