World Mental Health Day - 10 October 2023

Every year we celebrate World Mental Health Day on 10 October. The theme for 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health is ‘Mental health is a universal human right.’

World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health.

It’s also a chance to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help if you are struggling.

Mental wellbeing tips

We all need good mental health and wellbeing – it's essential to living happy and healthy lives, and can help us sleep better, feel better, do the things we want to do and have more positive relationships. It can also help us deal with difficult times in the future.

The NHS Every Mind Matters website has resources and helpful tips to help you with your wellbeing. You can also get your free, personalised Mind Plan by completing a quiz on their website.

Self-help resources

In times of crisis, it is very common for people to become low in mood or to experience a setback in terms of their depression and its symptoms. However, even in these times there is still a lot you can do to feel better about your current situation and the future.

These self-help and information worksheets will help you to focus on maintaining your recovery progress and deal more effectively with any setbacks.
