Dementia Support Service - Our dementia support workers offer information and practical guidance to help carers understand dementia, cope with day-to-day challenges and prepare for the future. We have a range of information and factsheets and offer ongoing support via home visits or phone calls.

Singing for the Brain – For people living with dementia and/or their carers. Join us to sing a wide variety of songs in a supported environment. Led by a skilled professional musician and hosted by a Dementia Support Worker. Singing improves wellbeing and mood. Chance to talk to other carers. Refreshments.

We meet fortnightly on Fridays 1 – 3pm at St John’s Centre, St John’s Road, Old Trafford M16 7GX

Trafford Carers Centre Art Group The group is open to all carers interested in art no experience necessary We meet every Monday, 10am-12.30pm, at St. Matthews Hall, Chapel Lane, Stretford. M32 9AJ.

Trafford Carers Centre Carers Craft Club The group meet in a room that is fully accessible, and the group is open to all carers . We meet most Fridays, 10.30am-12.30pm, at Urmston Library, 34 Golden Way, Urmston. M41 0NA.

Trafford Carers Centre Trafford Carers Centre is a non-profit organisation that supports unpaid carers looking after someone who lives in the Trafford area. They provide advocacy, care assessments, health checks, counselling, funding for carers, emergency card scheme, information e-books, newsletters, social events, therapy services as well as training and volunteering. The majority of their services are free and everything you tell them will be kept in confidence.

Rethink Mental Illness Group

The Rethink Mental Illness Manchester Group is a group for people affected by severe mental illness to come together to share information and support with each other.

The group meet every Thursday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.  Please contact the group for a link to the meeting

The group takes place online (via Zoom) and can be accessed by service users and carers across Greater Manchester.

Trafford Hard of Hearing Group Free Lip reading Classes Trafford Hard of Hearing Group are running regular lip reading classes, free of charge. The classes take place at St Matthew’s Church Hall, Chapel Lane, Stretford, and are free to anyone with a hearing loss and their families. Tea and biscuits are available for a small charge. The classes are on Thursdays with the Multilevel class from 10.30am - 12.30pm and the Beginners class from 1pm - 3pm.
